Southeastern Indian Trunk
American Indian cultures have existed in Alabama for over 12,000 years. The culture of the First Alabamians-Paleo, Archaic, Woodland, Mississippian, and Historic-reveals unique lifestyles, technologies, and civilizations. Students will learn about the cultures and lifestyles of the First Alabamians through hands-on activities such as making pottery, using a pump drill, playing a game of Chunky, and more. Activities in this trunk offer cross-curricular connections between history, geography, and STEAM.

Trunks are available on a first come, first served basis and are loaned out for one week (from Friday to Friday). Teachers are required to pay UPS shipping fees, $50.00 per trunk.
