Disaster Preparedness and Recovery

ADAH staff work with state and local agencies to protect records, photographs, and other cultural resources from the damaging effects of natural disasters and other emergencies. We offer resources, consultation, and on-site assistance after an emergency as well as training and planning information for creating emergency preparedness and response plans before a disaster strikes. When an emergency occurs, the first priority is always life safety. After stabilization, call or email our staff listed at the bottom of this page for assistance with salvaging your records.
